A popular backpacker destination, Panagsama Beach Resort is a place for divers and snorkelers. It is about four kilometers (4 km) from the heart of Moalboal.
Unlike other beach resorts, Panagsama is not a sand beach. Instead it is a rocky one. But it is abundant in marine life.
An old fishing village, in Panagsama’s beachfront, there is a shallow reef where one can walk to the drop off which is around 50 meters from the high tide line. During low tide, one can easily see the and enjoy the reef.

Another popular sight in Panagsama is the sardines run. Sardine run is the congregation of millions of sardines forming a hurricane-like formation as a defense mechanism.
