A day at the beach and a night filled with laughter, music and fun could be a dream adventure.
Moalboal is a small municipality down Cebu approximately two to three hours ride from Cebu City. Well, travel time of course depends on traffic but if trave from the city starts at around 4AM as we usually recommend on our tours, it will just take 2 hours and even a little lesser. It is located at the southwest side of Cebu. Moalboal has three main tourist attractions: Tongo beach, Basdaku White sand beach and the Panagsama beach.
One of the most popular destinations in Moalboal is the Panagsama Beach Resort which is very popular for the sardines run and sea turtle watching. Moalboal is a perfect get-away if you want to enjoy the water and have a fun-filled night afterwards. It is perfect for divers and snorkelers.
There are so many things to do in Panagsama. You can go diving in Pescador Island and get to see thresher sharks, a sardine run or if you are lucky, a whitetip shark. You can snorkel or rent a glass-bottom canoe to see the fish, corals and other marine life.
At the end of the day, Panagsama becomes more awake than ever. Bars starts to open. karaoke-ing can be heard and disco dancing is visible. In Panagsama, tourists can enjoy the night away with beer, dancing and a lot of singing.
You can resto-hop, bar-hop from one establishment to another. This is a great place to meet new friends and socialize with different people from all walks of life. Some tourist also prefers to have their night a quiet and relaxing one by having a bottle of beer while having a massage at the white sand beach of panagsama just a meter or two from the coastline.
Panagsama, Moalboal Tour Tips
If you are planning an overnight adventure in Panagsama, make sure that you have packed the essentials. Bring enough clothes and sleepwear, comfortable sandals or slippers, sunscreen, sunglasses and a camera. Book an accommodations closest to the coast line. I would recommend staying at Ivonne’s Apartelle, not too far but not too close to the coast line if you want a little more privacy and silence by the time you are done with your night activities.
Most of all, when traveling don’t forget to bring a lot of enthusiasm and optimism. Remember to smile and make new friends. Enjoy the sun, the breeze, food and of course the hospitality of the locals.
