Our objective here is to be able to visit and experience the adventures offered by each of the top most visited tourist destinations of Cebu Province that is outside Cebu City. First, to make sure that we’ll be able to arrive at our first destination of the day as soon as it opens, we’ll start as early as possible. Around 4AM or 3:45AM would be great. It is assumed that you are already in Cebu City or will arrive in Cebu on or before our start time.
DAY 1: Chasing Water Falls
For our Day 1 destinations and activities will be chasing water falls. The first water falls will be in Barili, Cebu, known as the Mantayupan Falls. Please note we won’t be spending too much time on each of the destinations or tourist spots so we can save time and hopefully reach more destinations for the day.
Our second destination will be Guinatilan. It would probably take us around one (1) hour to get to Guinatilan town proper from Mantayupan falls. We will skip Badian, where kawasan falls is located, and have it on our second day. Our second water falls will be inambakan falls. From the town proper, we’ll have to travel 3.9KM and walk for approximately 15 minutes to get to the falls. Then after Inambakan falls, just for few-minute walk, we’ll reach kampael falls.
For our 4th and last destination of the day is the Aguinid Falls in Bangay tangbo, Samboan. After that, we’ll proceed to lighthouse resort in Oslob where we are going to spend the night and perhaps night swimming at their beach or at their swimming pool, or probably just sit and relax at the beach, have a bonfire and a bottle of beer or soda.
DAY 2: Canyoneering at Kanlaob River, Kawasan Falls and Mainit Hot Springs
Day 2 activity is a bit extreme and more adventurous than day 1. From the lighthouse resort, we’ll proceed immediately to Badian for our canyoneering or canyoning activity. We will be dropped off at the Kawasan exit then motorbike will pick us up and bring us to the canyoneering starting point. We’ll have gear preparations there and of course briefings. Canyoneering is expected to be finished in just 3 – 4 hours tops then spend some time swimming at the kawasan falls. I would recommend you’ll rent a bamboo raft and have the locals there bring you at the falls to experience the so called “water massage”. Right after Kawasan Falls, we’ll soak our body at 40 degrees Celsius water at mainit hot spring. Some people believed that this is therapeutic. Please know that there are water falls also in Mainit hot spring. You just have to walk few meters from the hot spring and they call it Level 2. After that we’ll head back to Lighthouse resort in Oslob.
Day 3: Oslob Day Tour
We’ll go early as usual and be at the whale watching venue at exactly 6AM. The whale watching venue is just 10 minute drive from the lighthouse resort. After the whale watching and snorkeling activity, we’ll proceed to Sumilon Island Sandbar and Sumilon Island Sanctuary. A motorized boat will pick us up at the whale watching venue and will have to travel by boat for about 17 – 20 minutes to get to Sumilon Island. Probably spend 30 minutes snorkeling at the sanctuary then another 30- 45 minutes snorkeling or maybe just swimming at the sandbar. After that, we’ll head back to the whale watching venue then proceed to Tumalog Falls. After Tumalog Falls, maybe we can still do a side trip at the oslob church and baluarte just to grab some pics of the historical places of Oslob. Then we’ll head back to the City. If time permits, we can probably still do another side trip to the Simala Church in Sibonga.
